Sarah Jean, Tattoo Of The Month Sept. 2007

I'd like to thank Sarah Jean from the Albannach forum for this months featured tattoo. What a great idea to take photo's of the whole process, so Sarah, how was it?

"It was quite an experience. The first tattoo I ever got was hellatious! I started sweating twenty minutes in and nearly passed out. I had to take a twenty minute break and then continue. The next tats I got were no problem whatsoever, didn't even break a sweat, don't know why.

This time, sure enough, twenty minutes in BOOM - I'm sweating like a dog! (artists words) ha! ha! ha! We took a break, I swear my vision went completely black, he reassured me that it happens to like 85% of the people who get inked.

Got me a candy bar & a coke & in less than ten minutes I was ready to go back at it! The tattooist was really great about it, he let me know that even the big burly dudes get it, some more than the women! hee! hee! After that, no problems at all.

I explained the feeling to getting a tattoo as "When your mom pops a zit on your back, that moment when the nails dig into the skin....its like that OVER AND OVER AND OVER again!"
