Albannach @ The Tartan Arms Bannockburn 24/6/06

Our wee gang set off to celebrate the anniversary of the battle of Bannockburn in the Tartan Arms pub in Bannockburn itself, the event was sponsored by the SNP and well done to them and big Alistair for a fantastic night. The night began with Ted Christopher who got us all warmed up with a fine selection of songs, next came Gaberlunzie, really enjoyed listening to them, some lovely songs from these two fine balladeers, next came the mighty Albannach, Jesus!!! What a blistering set these buggers hit us with, fantastic tunes, tribal rhythms and Jamesie doing what Jamesie does best, if you get a chance to see these guys then go, you owe it to yourself. Special mention to Jacquie from the band, it was lovely to meet her and have a wee blether....Alba Gu Brath
