Well a fine time
was had by all down at The Phoenix in Linwood, a Ceilidh band played all
night & a few of us stripped the "Willow" Oooer!!! What a great laugh, the
kilts were flying, people were all really into having as much fun (&alcohol)
as they possibly could, superb stuff. A big thank you to all the staff for a
great night & what a buffet!!!
Big hello To
Jurgen & his family, great to see the big man again. All in all a great wee
night.
A great wee story
at the end of the night that was so cute, We were sorting out who was going
home with who & in the end I was left with one of my friends teenage sons &
together we were going to be picked up last.
A short while later we realised his mum was back to take us home & we got
ourselves ready to go. Now what happens next was quite surreal, for a good
many years my party piece has been stealing helium filled balloons & singing
the latest chart entries in my hi pitch voice. My young companion joined me
in the aforementioned theft of said balloons & we made our getaway to the
exit only to be confronted by the cutest dressed up to the nines ten year
olds that you can think of holding open the door for us. When they realised
that we were waiting for a lift they said parents bet your waiting on
parents. I asked them what they meant & they said they always do this, they
tell you, let's go when in fact what they mean is let's say goodbye to
everyone that we met tonight or whoever might be related to us, or whoever
they may have shook hands with, they do it all the time.........& all the
while me & my young friend stood there holding aloft our stolen helium
filled balloons, surreal? You bet it was...Alba Gu Brath |
